Unlike last year’s snow storm, there was only a slight West Coast winter drizzle which didn’t dampen anyone’s holiday spirit. Guildford provided an excellent buffet featuring sliced roast beef, poached lemongrass salmon, several salads, desert and all the fixings. We were very pleased that 29 folks attended. Several door prizes were offered and Tom Lougheed, who ironically was celebrating his birthday, won the main wine basket prize donated by John Taggart’s financial planner. Harp Dhillon. It was also great to see two of our very senior pensioners, Ray Thomas and John Bosher in attendance as well as rookie Paige Kennedy who still is working at BDC. Paul Casey, Vice President Vancouver provided an interesting update on BDC and how technology is having a positive effect on the Bank’s activities. He also congratulated all of the pensioners attending for providing such a solid foundation for future growth.
