  • Lois Mabel MacFarlane, July 20, 1932 - March 19, 2018
    Lois MacFarlane was predeceased by her husband, Bud, and is survived by her children Robyn Rahn and Bruce and Janet MacFarlane, and her grandchildren Alicia and Curtis Tonello. Lois enjoyed her garden, her cat, family dinners in her Vancouver home, her memories of John Oliver Secondary, and church. A Celebration of Life will be held on April 15, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Trinity-Grace United Church, 803 E.16th Ave.

  • **Donald David Tobin **age 65, Truro, NS, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at his home, with loving members of his family by his side. Born in North Sydney, he began his career following graduation from Dalhousie University with a degree in commerce. He worked as an accountant for HB Nickerson & Sons “the fish plant” in North Sydney and eventually became the president of Chappell’s Building Supplies in Sydney. In later years, he went on to work for DEVCO (Controller), Oceanside Assistance (Executive Director) and the Business Development Bank of Canada (District Manager). Most recently, Donnie, along with Janice, opened and operated Eagle’s Landing Bed & Breakfast.
    He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Janice (Levangie); sons, Craig (Stephanie), Keith (Jennifer); daughter, Cindy (Matt); sister, Karen (Marvin); and his beloved grandchildren, Shaela, Kaiis, Madoc, Vander and Breagha.
    A funeral service was held on Friday, March 9th in Immaculate Conception Parish, 669 Prince St., Truro.

  • Bill (William) Torrance passed away peacefully at Mill Creek Care Centre, Barrie on February 11, 2018 at the age of 86. Beloved husband for 61 years to Jess (nee Souness). Much loved father of Campbell and Shona. Cherished grandad to Matthew Torrance, Erin Jantzi (Cameron) and Callie Torrance. Great grandpa to Carter. Bill will be sadly missed by his extended family and friends.
    Guests will be received at Adams Funeral Home (445 St. Vincent Street, Barrie) on Saturday March 3, 2018 at 2pm until the time we celebrate Bill’s life at 3 pm. After the service, guests are invited to remain for a reception in the lounge.

  • Michelle Bergeron passed away, February 10th 2018 at the CIUSSS du Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, Chicoutimi Hospital at the age of 60 years and 8 months. She was the spouse of Gaétan Bilodeau, from Chicoutimi.
    Mrs. Bergeron is survived by her daughter: Émilie (Jérémy Tremblay); her granddaughter: Élianna Tremblay; her parents: Mrs. Rachel Huot et Mr. Germain Bergeron. She was the sister of: Sylvain Bergeron (Danielle Gauthier), France (Claude Dussault) and Dominique. She was the sister in law of: Pierre Bilodeau (Martine Lavoie), Jean (Christine LeMay), Annie (Donald Perron) et Martin (Cindy Lebel). She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, parents and friends.
    The family welcome parents and friends Friday, February 16th 2018 from 2.00 P.M. to 5.00 P.M. and 7.00 P.M. 19.00 P.M., as well as Saturday, February 17 from 9A.M to 10.45 A.M. at: Complexe funéraire Ste-Claire, 345, St-Armand Street, Chicoutimi G7G 5B1. Funeral will be Saturday February 2018 at 11.00 A.M. in the Sainte-Anne church. Further to the incineration, ashes will be deposited at the Ste-Claire Columbarium

  • Claude Lebon resident of Chevy Chase, MD who passed away peacefully on December 30, 2017. He was surrounded by his wife Judith and children, Suzanne, Andre, Celine (Alain).
    Mr., Le Bon was born in March 1931 in Port Alfred, Quebec Canada. He married in 1960 and left for Ethiopia to teach at the University of Addis Abeba. He returned to North America and while raising his young children managed to obtain a Doctorate from Columbia University. His distinguished career in Academia saw him become Dean of the business school of Laval University, in Quebec and then Simon Fraser University in British Columbia in Canada. It was also a great honor to serve as a director of the Bank of Canada in the early 1980s.
    He retired to Maryland with his wife where he spent many wonderful years golfing and sailing.
    He was a man of duty and honor a wonderful Husband Father and Grandfather. He is already missed.
    Services will be held in Canada at a later date

Surviving her are her husband Yvon Reinhardt, her daughter Catherine (Patrick Nadeau), her grandchildren, Laurianne, Dorothée, Béatrice, her sisters and brothers, Lynda, Serge, Sophie, Karine, Debbie, Sherry-Lee, Boyd, Bing, sisters and brothers in law, nephews and nieces, her best friend Dolorès and many other parents and friends.   • Richard Munro passed away on November 3rd 2017 at Penticton Regional Hospital in British Columbia. He will be forever lovingly remembered by his wife Margaret, son David (Karen), daughter Sue (Marc), grandsons Paul and Mark, and sister-in-law, Elizabeth Kelly in Edmonton.
    A Celebration of Life will take place in the summer.
