The Winnipeg Pensioners had their Christmas Luncheon at FortWhyte, which is an environmental, education and recreation nature preserve. The luncheon was arranged by Gary Franzmann, our new director for Manitoba, and Joan Kirouac. Since retirement, Gary has been heavily involved with FortWhyte as a volunteer on a weekly basis including doing his stint as Santa Clause every year. The prize for the most senior statesman went to Bob McGregor, who is 97 and is no worse for wear. We had a good turnout of 14 and the event was enjoyed by all.
